Deloitte Fast 50 - Festival of Growth

FairWay was privileged to present at the Deloitte Fast 50 event, in the presence of some of New Zealand’s greatest business minds.

Some of New Zealand’s brightest business minds and innovative organisations gathered for Deloitte’s Festival of Growth, as a culmination of the Fast 50 series which celebrates New Zealand’s fastest growing companies.

FairWay’s Chief Executive, Rhys West participated in the ‘Power To The People’ panel at the event in Auckland.

“I was privileged to take part in panel discussion with Pip Ball, Head of Organisational Development at BNZ. We talked about a wide range of topics - from the attributes that people need to succeed in a changing environment, to the importance of culture and values in promoting our people’s engagement. It was great to see such a responsive and enthusiastic audience,” said Rhys.

Reflecting on FairWay’s contribution to the panel, as an employee-owned organisation, FairWay has a unique perspective.

“FairWay is a people business – our whole organisation is based around our talented team helping people in conflict to move forward. With our new employee-ownership model, the engagement and success of our people is more important than ever. It was great to share our unique story with some of New Zealand’s leading organisations” said Rhys.

Murray Pugh, FairWay’s Chief Financial Officer said it was inspiring to be in the presence of some of New Zealand’s greatest business minds, with a focus on encouraging fast moving organisations.

“There were many great stories about Kiwi ingenuity and entrepreneurialism, such as the global expansion of Pic’s Peanut Butter, the innovation of fruit sorting technology by Compac and the leverage of traditional online marketplaces by ExportX.

I must congratulate the Deloitte team on organising a really polished and thought-provoking event. The calibre of the speakers and attendees was excellent. I was truly inspired by remarkable stories and the ingenuity of Kiwi businesses,” said Murray.
