Stephen has recently joined Fair Way’s Natural Hazards Dispute Resolution panel.

Stephen specialises in natural disaster-related insurance law and dispute resolution, including the application of the Natural Hazards Insurance Act 2023.

Stephen can appreciate that insurance disputes can be complex, high-stakes, and emotionally charged, and prides himself on delivering a ‘homeowner-centric’ perspective to his role.

Stephen’s work at Community Law Canterbury puts him on a strong footing to relate to people from diverging backgrounds, particularly those who would otherwise face barriers in accessing justice.

In his spare time, Stephen is studying towards his Master of Laws, with a focus in alternative dispute resolution following the Canterbury Earthquakes.
