Debbie is an experienced litigator and specialises in family law. Debbie is an approved AMINZ FDR Mediator, Associate FDR member and an accredited member of the New Zealand Law Society’s Panel of Mediators as a Family Specialist. Debbie has a Post Graduate Diploma in Child Advocacy and a Graduate Diploma in Business Studies (Dispute Resolution).
Debbie assists parties to resolve all types of disputes involving care arrangements, division of relationship property, Protection of Personal and Property Rights, elderly care/retirement village, employment, immigration as well as commercial matters.
As a “people person” Debbie has excellent communication skills and extensive experience in working collaboratively with people from all walks of life. She understands the dynamics of separation and has a genuine interest in working with people to obtain workable outcomes in children’s best interests. Mediation provides an excellent forum where parties involved in disputes are given an equal opportunity to participate in and formulate their own agreement – in a confidential unbiased and timely process. As an experienced negotiator and lawyer, Debbie knows how important it is for people to resolve disputes with dignity and integrity, whilst gaining an understanding of one another’s points of view to achieve the best possible solutions.
