Paul Muir

Paul is social work qualified and worked for many years in child protection and youth justice fields.
 
Upon establishing an independent business practice, Davey Muir & Associates, in 1997, he became an experienced counsellor, family therapist and specialist report writer for the Family Court.

Paul now works in the fields of mediation, counselling and supervision. His Family Dispute Resolution (FDR) work includes both preparing parties for mediation and helping parties achieve care arrangements and parenting understandings relating to their children. 

Paul's areas of special interest include family work, abuse treatment and recovery, conflict resolution and mediation, resolving employment issues, supervision and coaching, addressing relationship issues, violence prevention and stress management.

Paul uses a range of practice models depending on client need - including person centered, cognitive behavioural, narrative, and solution focused approaches.
